Despite receiving mixed reviews, the police drama achieved a respectable opening at the box office. After three days since its release, the film has garnered nearly Rs 20 crore in India. Additionally, Deva has surpassed Rs 30 crore in global box office earnings.
Deva worldwide box office update on day three: The producers of Deva announced the total worldwide box office earnings via social media. Zee Studios disclosed that the film, starring Shahid Kapoor, accumulated Rs 34.01 crore globally by the third day. If the film maintains this momentum, it is poised to exceed the Rs 50-crore threshold soon. In their box office update, the producers stated, "Deva's rise continues. Deva in cinemas now, book your tickets! (Link in bio) (sic)."
Deva narrates the tale of a talented yet rebellious police officer assigned to investigate a significant case. Shahid Kapoor portrays the role of Dev Ambre, while Pooja Hegde plays Diya Sathaye. The cast also features Kubbra Sait, Manish Wadhwa, and Pavail Gulati.
In a recent interview, Shahid Kapoor discussed the potential connection between Deva and the classic film Deewaar, starring Amitabh Bachchan. He stated, "This inquiry should be directed to Rosshan, as he was the one who made that decision. There is a certain relevance within the film. Performing in a project of that calibre instils a sense of humility in every actor. Regarding Amit Ji, we have all grown up admiring him as a star. The film is characterized by a compelling narrative, excellent interpersonal dynamics, memorable dialogues, and outstanding performances."
Once Deva's theatrical run ends, it will premiere on Netflix. However, the film's OTT release hasn't been announced yet.
