What's the plot of Destroyer

The film begins with Erin Bell (Nicole Kidman), a rookie police officer, whose life gets forward altered when she gets thrust into an undercover mission that goes catastrophically wrong. The traumatic experience not only shatters her promising career, but also leaves emotional scars that ravage her personal life.

However, years later, while still struggling with the haunting memories and inner turmoil, Erin gets compelled to confront the ghosts of her past and face the demons that have held her hostage for so long. In a quest for redemption, Erin embarks on a journey of self-discovery, determined to make amends with her troubled history and find a measure of peace that has eluded her far too long.

Nicole Kidman's experience working in Destroyer

Back in 2018, in an exclusive interview with Inews portal, Kidman spoke about how she immediately jumped at the opportunity to play the role of Erin Bell.

"I just wanted her to be real. Just give me a woman who has not taken care of herself at all, who has drunk a lot, who has done drugs, who has had no self-care and no self-love, and who sometimes sleeps in her car. She doesn’t sleep much, she medicates, and she is in a rough place. She is hanging on for dear life, she is surly, and she is pissed off”, Nicole stated.

Nicole Kidman is currently basking in the viewership success her recently released series, The Perfect Couple, which is streaming on Netflix. The interesting part about The Perfect Couple is that is also stars Bollywood actor Ishaan Khatter, Shahid Kapoor’s half-brother, in a pivotal role. Ishaan made his big Hollywood debut with the English mystery series.
