Double Ismart is one of the most awaited films in Telugu cinema, as director Puri Jagan and Ram Pothineni have teamed up for the second time after the success of Ismart Shankar. The film is also the sequel to Ismart Shankar and will hit the screens on August 15, 2024.

Double Ismart pre-release business details

Well, as the film is up for release soon, the pre-release business of the film is in full swing. Double Ismart has been produced by Charmee and Puri Jagan on their Puri Connects banner, and the news is that they are demanding close to Rs 65 crore for their film in Telugu states.

This is a massive amount and has shocked many in the trade. Puri Jagan's last film, Liger, was a gigantic flop and did not even make Rs 10 crore in its run. So, keeping that in mind, there are not many buyers who are coming ahead to buy the film.

One of the popular producers from the industry has come ahead to buy the rights but he wants to pay only Rs 45 crore. The discussions are ongoing, and Puri is unwilling to go down and is hellbent on taking big bucks for his film.

Puri faced a huge loss with Liger, and as he is very confident that Double Ismart will bring him back into the game, he demands a bomb. Ram Pothineni will be seen as Ismart Shankar in this film, which also has Sanjay Dutt as the main villain.

Kavya Thapar plays the female lead in this film, which features music by Mani Sharma. In the days to come, we need to see how much will Puri Jagan sell the theatrical rights of the film for. Watch this space for more updates.
