Demonte Colony 2 OTT release date: Where and when to watch Tamil horror thriller sequel

Demonte Colony 2, the recently released horror thriller sequel of Demonte Colony, is all set to premiere on an OTT platform. The film’s post-theatrical rights have been bagged by ZEE5, and will be available for streaming from September 27. It will also be available on OTTplay Premium app which can be downloaded from the App Store and Google Play Store.

Demonte Colony 2 is a 2024 released Tamil horror thriller film, starring actors Arulnithi and Priya Bhavani Shankar in the lead roles. The film released in theatres on August 15, and following the theatrical run for over a month, will soon make its OTT debut. Demonte Colony 2 will be available on ZEE5 from September 27 onwards. It will also be available on OTTplay Premium app.

Demonte Colony 2 is directed by Ajay Gnanamuthu, and is a direct sequel to his 2015 film Demonte Colony which revolves around four friends who venture into a haunted building to retrieve a necklace. However, this awakens the spirits of the palace, which follows them to their home and avenges them. It is available for streaming on the SunNXT app and alternatively on OTTplay Premium.

The sequel is titled Demonte Colony II: Vengeance of the Unholy. The makers have planned to develop a franchise, with multiple parts planned to be made. Earlier speaking to us, Ajay had said, “Unlike The Conjuring where each part has a different plot, here the characters are the same. More so like Harry Potter series where the world keeps changing. There will be only one conflict, with their journeys changing.”

Demonte Colony 2 cast includes actors Arulnithi, Priya Bhavani Shankar, Antti Jaaskelainen, Tsering Dorjee, Arunpandian, Muthukumar, Meenakshi Govindarajan, Sarjano Khalid, Archana Ravichandran and others.

The sequel is produced by Bobby Balachandran, Vijayasubramanian, and RC Rajkumar. The technical crew consists of Harish Kannan cranking the camera and Kumaresh as the editor. Sam CS has scored the music for the film.
