However, this Halloween, Demonic will be making its India debut soon on Lionsgate Play, after a long three years. Demonic plot overview

The film is about a young woman named Carly (Carly Pope), who is haunted by the lingering tension of her mother's decades-long conflict with her grandmother, unwittingly awakens a malevolent force that has been dormant for generations.

As Carly delves deeper into the dark secrets of her maternal family’s past, she discovers a chilling truth that feud between them is not just a mere personal fight, but a manifestation of supernatural forces that have been manipulating their lives. With each revelation, Carly’s world unravels, as she becomes entangled in a terrifying battle against the ancient demons that threaten to consume her and her loved ones.

Neil Blomkamp’s experience in making Demonic

Back in 2021, the 45-year-old director spoke highly about his experience in making Demonic. He stated that the Covid pandemic helped him come up with the idea of making a film like this. “The idea came from a very unusual and weird process. Because of Covid, I wanted to create something we could put together ourselves and make sense everything else seemed to be on hold. I have always wanted to make my own small horror film”, Neil said.
