Demon Slayer Hashira Training Arc episode 6 – Will Gyomei Himejima prove he’s the strongest Hashira only after Muzan Kibusuji makes a move? Here’s what to expect

Demon Slayer Hashira Training Arc is finally headed to its new chapter – where Tanjiro and all the Hashiras will eventually fight Muzan Kibusuji. Now that Stone Hashira Gyomei Himejima has appeared and he has to prove he’s the strongest Hashira, the upcoming episode, episode 6, seems to set the tone for the Upper Rank demons fighting the various Hashiras neck-to-neck. Here’s why we think Muzan will appear in episode 6…

Gyomei Himejima’s powers come to life on field

Gyomei Himejima is otherwise the calmest Hashira, like the Stone he represents. You would often notice him crying, but he is almost always attentive to everything in his surrounding. It is why he has the harshest training among all the Hashiras. Himejima’s biggest ally is his physical strength. His backstory, related to innocent children and him being framed, will be explored in the episode. Himejima is among those who does not always need a sword to fight. He can keep a demon on his toes till sunrise even with his combat skills alone. In the upcoming episode, you need to watch out for his sword. It has the unique ability to turn into an axe, which too has a purpose for him.

There’s a reason why all the Hashiras as well as the demons consider Himejima the strongest Hashira. Remember Upper Rank 1 demon Kokushibo? Even someone as him has declared that he has not met a stronger Hashira in 300 years, and that’s telling something. If the makers are to tell us about Himejima as the strongest Hashira, they are likely to bring in his fight with Muzan, or at hint at it with this episode (probably through their battlefield training, if not actually battling Muzan). That is to show that both Tanjiro and Himejima can do serious damage to Muzan.

One thing is certain, despite his exaggerated reactions on seeing Himejima’s training, Tanjiro will pass this stage too and be ready to take on Muzan soon. He and Zenitsu have already reunited and Inosuke is already training with Himejima, which means the OG trio will reunite and give us some memories but also show us their skills in the coming episode(s). It all depends on the makers, the pace they want to follow and how they want to take the story forward, but the fight is the end result.

Stories left unexplored

The season has left us with many moments that are waiting to be explored. Butterfly Hashira Shinobu wanted to tell Kanao the story of how her sister, The Flower Hashira Kanae Kocho died. A demon was obviously involved.

Furthermore, Lady Tamayo and Shinobu were to team up. However, that has not been explored since the second episode’s release. One can only wonder if the makers would touch this topic in this episode.
