Filmmaker and editor Saiju Sreedharan, recognized for his directorial debut Footage featuring Manju Warrier, announced on Instagram this Thursday that the film Delulu will be released shortly. While he did not provide specific details regarding the release date, he did share the poster for Delulu along with the caption ‘#DeluluMalayalamMovie Coming Soon’.
Saiju Sreedharan previously collaborated with Shabna Mohammed to co-write the thriller film, Footage, featuring Manju Warrier alongside Vishak Nair and Gayathri Ashok.

Prominent Bollywood filmmaker and actor Anurag Kashyap, alongside Rima Kallingal, will take on the leading roles in this film, which also features Remya Nambeesan and Nikhila Vimal. The supporting cast includes Daveed Prakkat and Chandu Salimkumar.
This collaboration marks another instance of Shabna Mohammed and Anurag Kashyap working together, as he previously served as a presenter for Saiju Sreedharan and Shabna Mohammed’s project, Footage.

Anurag Kashyap has recently ventured into Malayalam cinema, making his acting debut in Aashiq Abu’s Rifle Club. This film features a notable ensemble cast that includes prominent actors such as Vijayaraghavan, Dileesh Pothan, Darshana Rajendran, Vani Viswanath, Hanumankind, and Surabhi Lakshmi.
The movie, which premiered in theatres on December 19, 2024, has been performing well at the box office, even in the face of strong competition from Unni Mukundan’s Marco, which has garnered significant earnings.
In a recent discussion with The Hollywood Reporter India, Anurag Kashyap expressed his admiration for the Malayalam film Manjummel Boys, directed by Chidambaram. The renowned filmmaker, recognized for his work on Gangs of Wasseypur and other notable projects, remarked that a film of this nature would unlikely be produced in Bollywood, as the Hindi film industry tends to focus heavily on remakes.
