Delhi Crime, the Netflix Original series, which was released in 2019, garnered critical acclaim for its gripping narrative, and outstanding performances, showcasing the heinous crimes happening in India. With two successful seasons, the International Emmy Award-winning Indian web series is now gearing up for the third instalment. Interestingly, according to a report, Huma Qureshi has come on board for Delhi Crime Season 3 alongside Shefali Shah.

Huma Qureshi’s role in Delhi Crime Season 3

The character details of Huma Qureshi are still under wraps, according to Peeping Moon. But she will be seen in a pivotal role alongside Shefali.

With Huma's addition to the web series, the excitement around Delhi Crime Season 3 is sky-high. She has time and again proved her mettle as an actor by doing projects like Gangs of Wasseypur, Dedh Ishqiyaa, Maharani, Monica O My Darling and more. Delhi Crime Season 3 will only enhance her filmography. 

About Delhi Crime Season 3

Shefali Shah again will be seen reprising her role as DCP Vartika Chaturvedi, who fights for justice. Other actors like Rasika Dugal, Rajesh Tailang, and Adil Hussain will be also seen reprising their gripping characters, respectively.

Tanuj Chopra has also been roped in to direct the third instalment of Delhi Crime, who previously directed the second instalment in 2020. This time he has joined hands with Ulajh director Sudhanshu Saria, who will be one of the key writers.

More details about Delhi Crime Season 3

The report further suggests that the third instalment has been under pre-production for the past three months and will go on floors next week. However, the official synopsis is also under wraps, but the makers might explore the theme of human trafficking in the third season. It is expected to be released on Netflix next year, sometime in mid-2025.

Huma Qureshi's work front

Huma also has Akshay Kumar and Arshad Warsi's Jolly LLB 3 in the pipeline. She joined the team in May 2024. Directed by Subhash Kapoor, Jolly LLB 3 is expected to hit the big screens in 2025.
