Sikandar's box office earnings on day nine: The film, directed by AR Murugadoss and featuring Salman Khan and Rashmika Mandanna, achieved respectable collections on its ninth day of release, even though it fell on a weekday. As reported by Sacnilk, the movie has garnered a net total of ₹104.25 crore in India to date.

The trade website indicates that Sikandar generated an estimated net revenue of ₹1.75 crore on Monday in India, raising its total earnings to ₹104.25 crore net. Similarly, L2 Empuraan also earned approximately ₹1.75 crore, resulting in a cumulative total of ₹100.10 crore net in India, positioning it closely alongside Sikandar.

Upon its release for Eid on March 30, the film debuted with ₹26 crore. By its first Friday, it had accumulated ₹93.75 crore, followed by weekend earnings of ₹4 crore and ₹4.5 crore. The film surpassed the ₹100 crore milestone in India on its eighth day and is poised to exceed ₹200 crore globally soon.

While these figures are commendable, there are typically elevated expectations for Salman’s Eid releases, even though Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan amassed ₹184.6 crore worldwide throughout its run. Notably, his prior film, Tiger 3, which was not released during Eid, garnered ₹464 crore globally, leaving it to be seen whether Sikandar can achieve similar success.

Currently, the film ranks among the highest-grossing films of the year; however, it must surpass the worldwide collections of Chhaava, L2 Empuraan, and Sankranthiki Vasthunam to ascend further in the rankings.

Sikandar observes Salman portraying Sanjay Rajkot, with Rashmika taking on the role of his wife, Saisri. Following its release, the film faced criticism for its clichéd plot and subpar performances. The cast also includes Sathyaraj, Kajal Aggarwal, Sharman Joshi, Prateik Babbar, Kishore, Jatin Sarna, and Sanjay Kapoor. Meanwhile, the Malayalam film L2 Empuraan premiered in theaters on March 27, presenting unforeseen competition. It will be interesting to see how Sikandar performs throughout the week.
