Baby John Box Office Update Day 6
Baby John was among the most eagerly awaited films of 2024. Nevertheless, it has not performed well at the box office. The film debuted with a collection of Rs. 11.25 crore but has experienced a notable decline in earnings. By its first Monday, which marked the sixth day of release, the box office collection was particularly concerning, amounting to only Rs. 1.85 crore. Consequently, Varun Dhawan's film has accumulated a total of Rs. 30.50 crore in the domestic market.
Baby John shows are being replaced
It has been reported that due to Baby John's underperformance at the box office, screenings of Varun Dhawan's film are being substituted. "There is a growing interest in Marco, as many are suggesting that Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s highly violent film Animal (2023) appears almost childlike in comparison to Marco due to its extremely violent content. Consequently, there is a rising demand for Marco, leading to the replacement of Baby John's screenings with those of Marco, as well as other films like Pushpa 2 and Mufasa: The Lion King," the source stated.
Unni Mukundan's Marco has received enthusiastic praise from both audiences and critics alike. The film has been performing remarkably well at the box office.
Released on December 20, the film's success prompted Unni to announce on X (formerly Twitter) that over 140 additional screenings were being scheduled for Marco in Hindi.
Unni recently confirmed that he had dubbed himself for the movie, Marco. “We didn’t want the audience to feel that it is just another dubbed version of a South film. We have tried to ensure the quality is retained,” said the actor. Meanwhile, Marco also features Kabir Duhan Singh, Siddique, Jagadeesh and Durva Thacker in pivotal roles.
On the other hand, Baby John marks the Bollywood debut of Malayali actress Keerthy Suresh. The film is about a single father who leads a double life as a non-violent cafe owner and a former cop.
