Sikandar box office collection day 5: AR Murugadoss' film Sikandar, featuring Salman Khan and Rashmika Mandanna, premiered in theaters for Eid. However, the movie is facing challenges in maintaining its momentum due to a tepid reception from both audiences and critics. As reported by Sacnilk, it has garnered a net collection of ₹89.32 crore at the Indian box office to date.

The trade website indicates that Sikandar generated approximately ₹5.07 crore net on Thursday, resulting in a cumulative total of ₹89.32 crore net over five days. For comparison, Salman’s earlier film, Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan, earned ₹82.15 crore within the same timeframe. Although this marks a notable improvement over his previous release, Sikandar has yet to surpass the ₹100 crore threshold in India, with a worldwide gross of ₹158.5 crore reported by the producers.

Sikandar's box office performance has not met expectations, as the film has struggled to maintain momentum. Given that it features Salman, there were high hopes for its success; however, the film's single-digit earnings before the conclusion of its first week raise concerns for its future performance. It remains uncertain how much revenue the film will generate during its first week. Additionally, Sikandar missed out on potential earnings from Friday and Saturday collections due to its Sunday release.

Murugadoss addressed the media prior to the film's release, suggesting that he did not adhere strictly to the script during production. In an interview with PTI, he stated, “When collaborating with superstars, it is not feasible to remain entirely faithful to the script. We must make concessions for the audience, their fan base, and the film's opening. As a director, achieving complete authenticity is challenging. Our priority is to meet the expectations of the fans and consider their perspectives. Navigating this situation is quite difficult.” The film "Sikandar" narrates the tale of a man who confronts a corrupt politician and his entitled son.
