Antony Varghese's new movie Daveed, directed by Govind Vishnu, is one of the most anticipated films coming out in February 2025. The team behind this boxing-themed flick has just dropped the teaser, and it's got everyone buzzing with excitement. The teaser packs a punch, showcasing Varghese alongside Egyptian actor Moe Ismail.

The teaser kicks off with a voiceover telling the classic story of David and Goliath. We then meet Moe Ismail as Sainul Akhmadov, who clearly dominates the boxing scene.

Sainul confidently claims he can sense fear in his rivals, and then we get an awesome introduction to Antony Varghese Pepe as Ashiq Abu, who takes down his opponents with ease. A girl chimes in, saying that a ‘hook, jab, and an uppercut’ are all you need to take out the competition. We also catch quick glimpses of Vijayaraghavan, Lijomol, and Saiju Kurup throughout the teaser.

The 1-minute-31-second teaser wraps up with a bang as Abu, decked out in all black and sporting shades, sends his rival smashing into a glass wall. The final shot hints at an epic showdown between Abu and Sainul.

Earlier, the creators had teased that the teaser would drop on Tuesday, vowing to deliver action, excitement, and visuals that are more intense than ever. It definitely comes close to meeting those expectations and has built up the hype for the upcoming release.

Antony Varghese Pepe, who was last spotted in Kondal, is making his comeback to the big screen as Ashiq Abu in the film Daveed. Moe Ismail plays a significant role alongside him, while Vijayaraghavan takes on the important character of Puthalath Ragavan, a renowned boxing coach. The supporting cast includes Lijomol, Saiju Kurup, Aju Varghese, and Kichu Tellu, with Jess Kukku portraying Abu’s daughter, Safa. The screenplay is penned by Deepu Rajeevan and Govind Vishnu, and the music is composed by Justin Varghese.

Daveed and other Malayalam movies coming out in February 2025

Daveed is hitting theaters on February 14, 2025. It's going to be a busy Valentine’s Day with a bunch of other Malayalam films dropping too. The main competition for Daveed will be Mammootty’s thriller Bazooka, which features Gautham Vasudev Menon. Also releasing that day is Arjun Ashokan's Bromance, starring Mathew Thomas and Mahima Nambiar. Plus, Anaswara Rajan and Sajin Gopu’s Painkili is also set for the same date.
