Telugu actor Nandamuri Balakrishna, widely recognized for his substantial fan following, was recently featured in the Telugu film Daaku Maharaaj, which premiered in theatres during the Sankranthi festival. Following its successful theatrical release, the film is set to make its debut on OTT platforms. Netflix has acquired the streaming rights, and the release date has been confirmed. Viewers will be able to watch Daaku Maharaaj on Netflix starting February 21.

Nandamuri Balakrishna, affectionately referred to as Balaya appeared in the 2025 film Daaku Maharaaj, which has garnered attention for its popular song Dabidi Dibidi. The film was released in theatres for Sankranthi and will soon be available for streaming on Netflix. It will be accessible in Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada, and Hindi on the platform from February 21.

Daaku Maharaaj is an action drama film helmed by director Bobby Kolli, and produced by Sitara Entertainments, Fortune Four Cinemas, and Srikara Studios. The film features a diverse cast, including Urvashi Rautela, Bobby Deol, Pragya Jaiswal, Shraddha Srinath, Rishi, Chandini Chowdary, Pradeep Rawat, Sachin Khedekar, Shine Tom Chacko, Viswant Duddumpudi, Aadukalam Naren, and Ravi Kishan.

Daaku Maharaaj recently found itself at the centre of controversy following the release of a new poster for the film, which notably omitted actor Urvashi Rautela from its promotional materials while announcing its premiere on Netflix. Urvashi had been one of the film's most ardent supporters, despite facing significant criticism for her comments regarding the lavish gifts she received in connection with the film's success, particularly when discussing the stabbing incident involving Saif Ali Khan.

Although Daaku Maharaaj did not achieve extraordinary success, it managed to enter the profit margin. The digital rights were sold for Rs 40 crore, and the film generated Rs 87 crore during its theatrical run.
