This action-drama has achieved the highest opening for the actor to date, accumulating a gross of ₹56 crore worldwide on its inaugural day.

Producer Naga Vamsi’s Sithara Entertainments announced on Monday that "Daaku Maharaaj" achieved a remarkable ₹56 crore in gross revenue worldwide on its opening day, marking the highest opening for Balakrishna.
In a post on X (formerly Twitter), they stated, “#DaakuMaharaaj ignites the box office and dominates SANKRANTHI with a resounding BLOCKBUSTER. Over 56 Crores in Worldwide Gross on DAY 1. #BlockbusterHuntingDaakuMaharaaj – THE LARGEST OPENING for #NBK garu. This is how the GOD OF MASSES #NandamuriBalaKrishna has made his powerful statement with Unmatched Impact.”
The previous record was established by his most recent film, Veera Simha Reddy, which was directed by Gopichand Malineni. Released during the 2023 Sankranthi festival, this film earned ₹54 crore globally on its first day, with ₹36.2 crore generated from the Telugu states alone. As reported by Sacnilk, Daaku Maharaaj achieved a net collection of approximately ₹22.5 crore in India on its opening day.
Balakrishna celebrates Daaku Maharaaj's success
Balakrishna commemorated the triumph of Daaku Maharaaj alongside Urvashi Rautela, Vishwak Sen, Siddhu Jonnalagadda, and other attendees. In a video released by Vishwak, Balakrishna is observed kissing both him and Siddhu on the cheek, expressing that his success belongs to them and is a collective achievement. Additionally, Urvashi shared a video of herself dancing to their contentious track Dabidi Dibidi during the celebration.
In addition to Balakrishna, Daaku Maharaaj features Urvashi, Bobby Deol in his debut in Telugu cinema, Pragya Jaiswal, and Shraddha Srinath. The film received a range of reviews upon its release and will face competition at the box office from Ram Charan's Game Changer and Venkatesh's Sankranthiki Vasthunam. Balakrishna is set to appear in an upcoming film directed by Boyapati Srinu, as well as in the sequel to their hit movie Akhanda.
