'DD Next Level' Wraps Up Shooting: Santhanam Celebrates with Cast and Crew

DD Next Level update: Santhanam-starrer film completes shooting
Actor Santhanam commenced the year with the triumph of Madha Gaja Raja, a film that, despite its release occurring after a span of 12 years, struck a chord with audiences and achieved significant box office success. Following the release of Madha Gaja Raja, Santhanam promptly revealed the fourth instalment of the Tamil horror-comedy franchise Dhilluku Dhuddu, titled DD Next Level.
The most recent update regarding the project indicates that filming for DD Next Level has been completed. The producers aim to release the film in May, although a specific release date has not yet been disclosed. Produced by Niharika Entertainment and The Show People with a substantial budget, the film is presented by actor Arya. Prem Anand, who previously directed DD Returns, will take on the role of director for this project. In addition to Santhanam, the cast of DD Next Level includes Gautham Menon, Selvaraghavan, Yashika Anand, and Rajendran, among others.
DD Next Level is designed to appeal to audiences of all ages, from children to adults. The storyline unfolds aboard a cruise ship and on an island. The cinematography for DD Next Level is managed by Dipak Kumar Padhy, while the music is composed by Ofro. Editing responsibilities are handled by Bharath, and AR Mohan serves as the art director.

Dhilluku Dhuddu, the first part released in 2016 and is streaming on SunNXT and the OTTplay Premium app. Directed by Rambala, the film is about a couple whose love is not accepted by the girl’s father, However, things go awry after he gets invited to a haunted house.
Dhilluku Dhuddu 2 is available on ZEE5, with Santhanam and the director once again coming together. The film is a spiritual sequel. DD Returns was released in 2023 and is a standalone sequel, which is available on Disney+ Hotstar.
