D52 is Idly Kadai: First look poster confirms Dhanush to helm the project

Actor Dhanush is on a direction spree, as he is delivering one film after the other. After successfully helming films like Pa Paandi and Raayan, Dhanush will be once again wielding a megaphone for yet another project. As rumored, the film is titled Idly Kadai, the makers confirmed on social media on Thursday.

Dhanush's penchant for acting has already been proven. Now, the actor has also been showing keen interest in direction. After helming films like Pa Paandi, Raayan, and the upcoming film Nilavuku Enmel Ennadi Kobam, Dhanush is gearing up for his next directorial.

The film has been titled Idly Kadai, and the makers confirmed the speculations, by releasing a poster on social media on Thursday. The poster which is illustrated shows a dusky sky, as two men are seen working at a roadside eatery. Dhanush will also be starring in the film in the lead role.

The buzz is that the project will have a star-studded cast, including Nithya Menen, Arun Vijay, Ashok Selvan, Rajkiran, and others. The makers are yet to confirm the cast members of Idly Kadai.

The film is produced by Aakash Baskaran under Dawn Pictures along with Dhanush. The film will see Dhanush once again collaborating with GV Prakash Kumar for music. The technical crew consists of Kiran Koushik as the cinematographer and Prasanna GK as editor. Jacki is the production designer. A release date for Idly Kadai is yet to be announced.

On the other hand, Dhanush, who was last seen in Raayan, is also part of Sekhar Kammula’s upcoming film Kubera. It also stars Nagarjuna, Rashmika Mandanna and Jim Sarbh. A release date for the film is yet to be announced. Dhanush will also join hands with Hindi director Aanand L Rai for Tere Ishk Mein, which is set to go on floors by the year-end.
