Determined to dismantle a large-scale gold smuggling operation orchestrated by a ruthless criminal organization, he defies the odds, challenges the establishment, and confronts murder allegations.

Costao draws inspiration from the remarkable true story of Costao Fernandes, a customs officer who bravely confronted a significant smuggling operation. The narrative delves into themes such as duty, betrayal, corruption, and the importance of resisting a formidable system.
