It was only after the film demonstrated a strong performance at the box office that he proceeded to finalize the arrangement with Zee5. However, the latest information suggests that Dil Raju is now making efforts to delay the film’s digital release.

Originally, the OTT premiere of Sankranthiki Vasthunnam was scheduled for the second week of February 2025. Nevertheless, the circumstances have shifted significantly, as the film continues to generate substantial revenue in theaters. On its 13th day (Sunday), it achieved a remarkable gross of ₹10 crore, setting a record for this point in its theatrical run. Consequently, the producers are currently negotiating with Zee5 to postpone the OTT release.

Recently, OTT platforms have begun to offer additional compensation to producers for early digital releases, often within a month of the film's theatrical launch. For example, Balakrishna’s Daaku Maharaaj is set to be available on Netflix within a month of its release on February 9, 2025.
