Because of this, he’s decided to go ahead with the theatrical release without locking in an OTT deal just yet. The source added that Dil Raju is confident that the buzz after the film's release will boost demand, giving him a chance to negotiate a better deal for the digital rights.

Even though big-name actors are involved, streaming platforms haven't been keen on shelling out big bucks for family dramas, claiming they don't attract much attention. Still, there's no denying that Sankranthiki Vasthunnam is likely to have a strong opening at the box office.
