The much-awaited Indian spy action series, Citadel: Honey Bunny is a prequel and spin-off of the American television series Citadel. Starring Varun Dhawan and Samantha Ruth Prabhu as agents Bunny and Honey, the series will land on Amazon Prime Video on November 7. Ahead of the release, the makers dropped a captivating video of Varun as Rahi Gambhir to tease fans about the plot.

Amazon Prime Video shared a new teaser featuring Varun Dhawan to introduce him as Agent Bunny aka Rahi Gambhir in Citadel: Honey Bunny. In the clip, we can see him doing action sequences. He has been recuited as the best agent for the most important, project Talwar. Kay Kay Menon can be heard saying, "That boy is special. Always a step ahead."

Fans react to Varun Dhawan's character

Reacting to the video, one fan wrote, "Bond, James Bond❌ ........Gambhir, Rahi Gambhir✅" Another commented, "Varun Dhawan action era begins" A third fan said, "Varun Dhawan aka Bunny "Rahi Gambhir " can't wait"

Janhvi Kapoor sends love to Citadel: Honey Bunny

Speaking to Instant Bollywood, Janhvi Kapoor was asked about Varun Dhawan's Citadel: Honey Bunny.

She said, "I think it’s amazing. I think he and Samantha have absolutely killed it, and I hope that whatever they do, they always find success because they are so hardworking and talented. As for Honey Bunny, it looks great!"

On the other hand, in a recent interview with  Showsha, Varun shared Priyanka Chopra's reaction to the upcoming series Citadel: Honey Bunny. The actor said she ‘loved’ the show and had some ‘lovely’ things to say about it.

Notably, the American television series, Citadel stars Priyanka Chopra as Nadia. Nadia is the daughter of Varun's character. On October 21, Varun dropped a video merging clips from Citadel: Honey Bunny and Citadel where we see Priyanka as Nadia introducing her daughter to her grandfather.

Citadel: Honey Bunny is directed by Raj and DK and is a spin-off of the American spy action series Citadel starring Priyanka Chopra Jonas and Richard Madden. The show follows Varun and Samantha as they embark on a mission.

Backed by the Avengers Endgame directors, the Russo Brothers (Joe & Anthony), Citadel: Honey Bunny is scheduled for November 7 release on Amazon Prime Video.
