In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter India, Varun recalled Samantha collapsed on the Citadel: Honey Bunny set.
Challenges Samantha faced on the Citadel Honey Bunny set
Varun Dhawan told THR India about the two incidents when his heart sank looking at Samantha's health condition on Citadel: Honey Bunny set. Recalling the first incident, Varun revealed Samantha just 'shut her eyes' and said 'it's just one of those days' on the show's set. "We kept shooting for about two hours and after a short while an oxygen tank is coming and she is taking oxygen on the side," he recalled.
Varun mentioned that Samantha could've taken a day off but she fulfilled her work commitment. "She was literally taking oxygen on set, and that is the commitment," added Dhawan.
Opening up about the second incident, Varun revealed Samantha had to run behind when they were shooting at a railway station in Serbia. "So I have run past the camera and she is still in the frame and she just collapsed. I caught her and I went to Raj and said, ‘Pack up’, and they were like, ‘Calm down. You go and stand over there. Don’t worry, she will be fine'," shared Varun. At that time, Varun didn't know what to do.
