The much-anticipated trailer of Citadel: Honey Bunny was finally unveiled by the makers today, on October 15. Starring Varun Dhawan and Samantha Ruth Prabhu, the show is directed by Raj and DK and is a spin-off of the American spy action series 'Citadel' starring Priyanka Chopra Jonas and Richard Madden. The show follows Varun and Samantha as they embark on a globetrotting mission but what caught our attention is that it does have a PeeCee connection to it. Here's how!
Is Priyanka Chopra's Nadia Varun Dhawan and Samantha's daughter in Citadel: Honey Bunny?
Citadel: Honey Boney also features Kay Kay Menon, Saqib Saleem, and Sikandar Kher in pivotal roles. The trailer of the series released today, shows Varun's character hiring Samantha's character Honey (his girlfriend) for a spy agency he is working for. The trailer also reveals that Honey has a daughter and her name is Nadia. For the uninitiated, Priyanka Chopra's character in Citadel is also named Nadia, and hence now we know that this is her character from the original series. Priyanka is Varun Dhawan and Samantha Ruth Prabhu's daughter in the American spy series.
In Varun Dhawan's show, Nadia's character is played by 8-year-old Kasvi who spoke about playing the younger version of Priyanka Chopra as Nadia at a press conference held today. She said, "When I was told that I will be playing the younger version of Priyanka Chopra as Nadia, I was thrilled and happy." She further mentioned that Priyanka Chopra is an all-rounder - she acts, she dances, she sings, and I can say that I act, I dance and I sing so it's a perfect match."
Meanwhile, the Citadel: Honey Bunny trailer promises plenty of action with multiple car chases, high-octane stunts, and powerful performances. If you have not watched the trailer yet, watch it below:
