Citadel: Honey Bunny is one of the most-awaited OTT releases of the year. Starring Varun Dhawan and Samantha, the Raj & DK series is all set to premiere on Amazon Prime Video on November 7. Before its release, Ra Nidimoru revealed how Priyanka Chopra's character Nadia (from Russo Brothers' Citadel) was used to create the Indian chapter. In an interview with Hindustan Times, writer Sita Menon also stated that it was important to study Nadia's role.
Raj Nidimoru on Nadia and Citdael: Honey Bunny
Priyanka Chopra's character Nadia is directly linked to Citadel: Honey Bunny as the Indian chapter traces her origin story. In Raj & DK's Citadel, Nadia is shown as a six-year-old girl. But in Russo Brothers' US version of Citadel, Nadia is all grown up.
While writing the Indian chapter of the series, Sita Menon found it interesting to keep an eye on Nadia's character from the US version. "Because the little Nadia grows up to be Priyanka, we needed to know the traits. It was interesting to see how these two spies shape the philosophy or ideology of Nadia," she said.
Adding to her statement, Raj Nidimoru mentioned, "At the same time, we thought this is our chance to create our own spies. The spy is already created there, Nadia, so what if we also create our homegrown spies? We used Nadia to create Honey and Bunny."
Who plays Nadia in Citadel: Honey Bunny?
Child actor Kashvi Majmudar plays the younger version of Nadia in Citadel: Honey Bunny. At the show's trailer launch, Kashvi revealed how she felt she was a perfect fit for the character played by Priyanka Chopra.
"When I was told that I will be playing the younger version of Priyanka Chopra as Nadia, I was thrilled and happy," she said. Kashvi called Priyanka an 'all-rounder' who can sing, dance and act. Calling herself a perfect match, she added, "I can say that I act, I dance and I sing so it's a perfect match."
