Actor Vikram, who is currently awaiting the release of his film Thangalaan with director Pa Ranjith, is expected to announce his next project soon. Social media buzz suggests that the film, tentatively titled Chiyaan 63, will be helmed by filmmaker Santhakumar. However, an official confirmation in this regard is awaited.

Chiyaan 63 locked?

The upcoming film is the 63rd outing of actor Vikram. If recent reports are to be believed, the film will be helmed by director Santhakumar who made films like Magamuni and the most recent film Rasavathi. As per speculations, the Mouna Guru director has narrated the story of the film to the actor who liked it. It is to be noted that Santhakumar has worked with Vikram in films like Dhill and Dhool in the capacity of an assistant director.

However, an official confirmation on the same is yet to be made. It is to be noted that if the news is indeed true, then it will mark the first time Santhakumar will be directing Vikram.

Meanwhile, while Vikram's Thangalaan is currently waiting for release, with the trailer out recently, the actor is busy shooting for Veera Dheera Sooran with filmmaker SU Arun Kumar of Chittha fame. The film also stars Dushara Vijayan, SJ Suryah, Suraj Venjaramoodu in his Tamil debut, and Siddique, among others.

Where to watch Santhakumar’s latest film?

Santhakumar recently helmed the thriller drama film Rasavathi, starring actors Arjun Das and Tanya Ravichandran in the lead roles. The film is available for streaming on Aha Tamil and Prime Video. You can also watch the film on OTTplay Premium. Rasavathi translates to alchemist in English. The film also stars Sujith Sankar as the primary antagonist.The film revolves around a Siddha doctor (Arjun Das) who resides in Kodaikanal, where Tanya Ravichandran arrives to join in as a hotel manager. At the same time, a police official (Sujith Sankar) also takes charge, who is visibly upset over the closeness between the doctor and hotel manager. The rest of the film is about how the three individuals are connected and their pasts coming to the forefront.
