1 month ago | 5 Views
Chhaava box office collection day 10: The past ten days have been a significant period for enthusiasts of Indian cinema, as Chhaava continues to lead the box office. Featuring Vicky Kaushal in the principal role, this eagerly awaited film has now reached the ten-day mark in theaters, marking a historic achievement in Kaushal’s career. It has officially become his highest-grossing film to date. Furthermore, Chhaava has outperformed several major post-pandemic hits, including Akshay Kumar’s Sooryavanshi.
In spite of the heightened excitement surrounding yesterday’s India vs. Pakistan match at the ICC Champions Trophy 2025, the film maintained its strong box office performance.
Chhaava Box Office Update
Directed by Laxman Utekar and produced by Dinesh Vijan under the banner of Maddock Pictures, Chhaava is inspired by the life of the second Chhatrapati of the Maratha Empire, Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, who reigned from 1681 to 1689. The film, produced on a grand scale, also features Rashmika Mandanna as Yesubai Bhonsale, Divya Dutta as Sambhaji Maharaj’s stepmother Soyarabai, and Akshaye Khanna as Mughal emperor Aurangzeb. It premiered in Indian theaters on February 14, 2025.
According to Sacnilk, on its second Saturday (Day 9), Chhaava generated ₹44 crore at the domestic box office, demonstrating its sustained momentum. However, industry analysts expressed concerns regarding its performance on Day 10 due to the clash with the highly anticipated India vs. Pakistan match in Dubai. Although the match did lead to a slight decrease in audience turnout, the film proved resilient, earning nearly the same amount as it did on Saturday.

On its second Sunday, Chhaava garnered approximately ₹40 crore. With a production budget of ₹130 crore, the film has now accumulated a total of ₹326.75 crore at the Indian box office by the conclusion of its second weekend. In just ten days, Chhaava has achieved 151.34% of its budget. The film also recorded an impressive nationwide occupancy rate of 54.63%.
The Road Ahead for Chhaava
Chhaava faces its critical evaluation starting today as it embarks on its second week of operations. To preserve its current success and strive for even greater achievements, the film must maintain its performance levels without significant declines. However, due to its favorable reception and the excitement it has generated, Chhaava is anticipated to have an extended theatrical presence and is unlikely to exit the cinemas in the near future.
Under the direction of Laxman Utekar and featuring music by A.R. Rahman, Chhaava continues to reach impressive milestones. For further updates on this film and other developments in the streaming and cinematic landscape, please stay connected with OTTplay.
