Chhaava box office collection day 10: Laxman Utekar's groundbreaking action film, Chhaava, which chronicles the life of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj and features Vicky Kaushal, Rashmika Mandanna, and Akshaye Khanna in prominent roles, premiered on February 14 and has shown robust performance in its second week. As reported by Sacnilk, the film has amassed a total of ₹326.75 crore at the box office to date.

The website indicates that the film garnered ₹40 crore on its second Sunday, resulting in a cumulative collection of ₹326.75 crore net in India, based on preliminary estimates. It also had a robust performance during its opening weekend, amassing ₹37 crore and ₹48.5 crore. The film continues to demonstrate strong momentum, having collected ₹219.25 crore net in its first week in India, along with a solid ₹31 crore net on its opening day. On its second Friday, it earned ₹23.5 crore net, compared to ₹21.5 crore on Thursday, reflecting a 9.30% increase, and achieved ₹44 crore on its second Saturday, marking an impressive 87.23% rise.

Vicky Kaushal says ‘no more an unsung hero’

In response to the audience's growing interest in Sambhaji Maharaj, Vicky Kaushal conveyed his heartfelt appreciation through a post on Instagram. He expressed gratitude for their affection and was pleased that Sambhaji was finally recognized as more than an 'unsung hero.' He stated, “No longer an 'Unsung' Hero! Thank you everyone... Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj ki Jai.” Recently, Chhaava also received recognition from Prime Minister Narendra Modi. During his speech at the 98th Akhil Bharatiya Marathi Sahitya Sammelan held at Vigyan Bhavan in Delhi on Friday, he remarked, “It is Maharashtra and Mumbai that have elevated both Marathi and Hindi cinema. Currently, Chhaava is creating quite a stir.” 

Chhaava is adapted from Shivaji Sawant's Marathi novel of the same name, featuring prominent performances by Diana Penty, Divya Dutta, and Ashutosh Rana.
