This biographical drama, which portrays the life of the esteemed Maratha ruler Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, has successfully attracted audiences to theaters around the world. On Friday, the film's producers announced the latest box office figures, indicating that Chhaava has surpassed ₹300 crore in worldwide earnings. This achievement marks it as the first Hindi film to reach this milestone in 2025.

Vicky took to his Instagram Stories to provide an update on the box office performance of Chhaava. The film has successfully surpassed ₹310.50 crore globally within its first week of release.
According to Sacnilk.com, Chhaava achieved entry into the ₹200 crore club in India during its initial week. Its total earnings after the first week amount to ₹225.28 crore.
Goa's Chief Minister Pramod Sawant announced that Chhaava will be exempt from taxes in the state. Additionally, the film has also been granted tax-free status in Madhya Pradesh. These announcements coincided with the 395th birth anniversary of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, the founder of the Maratha empire and the father of Chhatrapati Sambhaji.

This cinematic work is based on the Marathi novel "Chhava" by Shivaji Sawant and features a talented cast, including Rashmika Mandanna as Yesubai Bhonsale, Akshaye Khanna as Aurangzeb, Diana Penty as Zinat-un-Nissa Begum, Divya Dutta as Soyarabai, Vineet Kumar Singh as Kavi Kalash, and Ashutosh Rana as Hambirrao Mohite.
