Trade tracker Sacnilk has reported that Chhava has generated a net revenue of ₹165.75 crore (₹198.85 crore gross) in India within its first five days. Furthermore, the film has accumulated ₹30 crore from international markets, bringing its total global earnings to ₹228.85 crore. This achievement marks Chhaava as the first Bollywood film to surpass the ₹200-crore milestone in 2025, and it now holds the title of the highest-grossing Hindi film of the year, surpassing the ₹168 crore earnings of Akshay Kumar and Veer Pahariya's Sky Force.
Chhaava has performed exceptionally well in Maharashtra, attributed to its thematic focus. The film is a biopic of the esteemed Maratha ruler Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, a significant historical figure in the region. Consequently, numerous venues across the state have experienced sold-out shows days ahead of time, with major cities such as Mumbai and Pune reporting occupancy rates exceeding 90%. Even on Tuesday, a weekday, theatres in Pune recorded a 70% occupancy rate for Chhaava.
