Chhaava advance booking report: The highly anticipated film Chhaava, featuring Vicky Kaushal alongside Rashmika Mandanna and Akshaye Khanna, is scheduled for release in theatres on Valentine’s Day, February 14. Supported by Maddock Films, this historical action movie is expected to achieve a strong opening, as reported by Sacnilk.

As per the information available on the website, a total of 232,746 tickets for the opening day of Chhaava have been sold across 8,090 screenings in India. The film is currently anticipated to achieve an opening revenue of ₹6.74 crore within India, and ₹8.42 crore when including block seat sales. The actual collection on the first day remains to be determined, although it has the potential to surpass the opening figures of his previous film, Bad Newz, which recorded ₹8.3 crore.

For reference, this year's major film releases include Akshay Kumar's Sky Force, which garnered ₹12.25 crore on its opening day, and Shahid Kapoor's Deva, which earned ₹5.5 crore. Additionally, Kangana Ranaut's Emergency had an opening of ₹2.5 crore, suggesting that Chhaava could achieve one of the most significant openings of 2025 thus far.

About Chhaava

Directed by Laxman Utekar and produced by Dinesh Vijan under the banner of Maddock Films, Chhaava is a historical action film that chronicles the life of Maratha king Sambhaji, portrayed by Vicky Kaushal. The cast also includes Rashmika Mandanna as Maharani Yesubai, Akshaye Khanna as Aurangzeb, Ashutosh Rana as Sarsenapati Hambirao Mohite, and Divya Dutta as Soyarabai. This film is an adaptation of the Marathi novel Chhava, authored by Shivaji Sawant. The musical score and soundtrack are crafted by A. R. Rahman, with lyrics written by Irshad Kamil.

Regarding the significant physical transformation he experienced for the role, Vicky Kaushal shared at a promotional event, “There were days when I had no time to even relax. With 12-hour shoot schedules, two hours of training before and two hours of action rehearsals after, I barely had time to sleep.” He expressed gratitude towards Katrina Kaif for her unwavering support during this demanding period, stating, “Katrina knows how it is in the industry, and she was so kind and patient with me.”
