Vicky Kaushal as Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj

Vicky Kaushal is set to take on the role of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj. This Maratha leader also referred to as Shambhuraje, served as the second Chhatrapati of the Maratha Empire from 1681 to 1689. He was the firstborn son of Shivaji, the esteemed founder of the Maratha Empire. In the trailer, Vicky embodies Maharaj with an iconic presence, radiating both passion and determination.

Rashmika Mandanna as Maharani Yesubai

Rashmika Mandanna is set to portray Maharani Yesubai, the wife of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj. For those unfamiliar, Yesubai was the second officially coronated queen of Swarajya and subsequently served as Rajmata, or queen mother, during the reign of Chhatrapati Shahu I. The trailer suggests that Rashmika's depiction of Maharani Yesubai is quite promising.

Akshaye Khanna as Aurangzeb

In addition to Vicky and Rashmika, Akshaye Khanna's portrayal of Aurangzeb, also known as Muhi al-Din Muhammad, has garnered significant attention. The actor appears markedly different in his representation of Aurangzeb. As the sixth Mughal emperor, Aurangzeb ruled from 1658 until his death in 1707, and he, along with the Mughals, was part of the Timurid dynasty. Ashutosh Rana as Hambirrao Mohite

Ashutosh Rana is set to portray Hambirrao Mohite, a prominent Maratha general who served as the 5th Senapati of the Maratha Army during the era of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj.

Diana Penty as Zinat-un-Nissa Begum

Diana Penty is set to portray Zinat-un-Nissa Begum, the daughter of Emperor Aurangzeb. As a Mughal princess, she was the second offspring of Aurangzeb and his principal consort, Dilras Banu Begum. Her father honoured her with the title of Padshah Begum.

In addition to Penty, the cast includes Divya Dutta in the role of Soyarabai Bhosale, along with Vineet Kumar, Santosh Juvekar, Neil Bhoopaam, and Pradeep Rawat.

Furthermore, the film's music has been composed by AR Rahman. Produced by Maddock Films, Chhaava is scheduled for release in theatres on February 14.
