Censor Board Requests Cuts: Two Aspects of Ram Charan's 'Game Changer' Need Modification

Ram Charan and Kiara Advani's upcoming film, Game Changer, is scheduled for release on January 10, 2025, as a special presentation for Sankranthi. The action drama has recently undergone censorship and has been granted a U/A certificate. Although the board has approved the film, it has noted two aspects that require revision.

Latest update on Game Changer's censor certification

The board initially requested that the film's title be presented in Telugu, emphasizing that as Game Changer is a Telugu production, it is essential for the title to be represented in the local language. Furthermore, Brahmanandam, who has a significant role in the film, was initially credited as "Padma Shri" on the title card. The board directed the producers to eliminate this honorific and instead credit him by his screen name.

Additionally, the board mandated that certain profanities spoken by the antagonist be muted. These modifications have been carried out, and the final version of the film is now confirmed. Ram Charan is anticipated to view the film following the pre-release event scheduled for January 4, 2025.

Directed by Shankar, Game Changer is surrounded by significant anticipation. Shankar believes that the film will connect with viewers from various demographics. The music has been composed by Thaman, who has encountered criticism for producing what some perceive as a mediocre soundtrack. Although the songs have achieved popularity on digital platforms, the overall response from general audiences has been mixed, resulting in disappointment for some fans.

Game Changer is under a lot of pressure to deliver

Game Changer has been under development for the past three years, during which it has faced some intermittent negative feedback. Nevertheless, the unveiling of the teaser has greatly enhanced the film's prospects. Ram Charan is set to portray a dual role, with one of his characters representing a rural persona.

In a recent interview, director Shankar commended Ram Charan's performance, forecasting that he is likely to win a National Award for his role. Producer Dil Raju, who has already viewed the initial copy, expressed great satisfaction with the final product and is planning strategies to enhance the film's visibility.

A significant pre-release event is planned in Rajahmundry, with Pawan Kalyan confirmed as the chief guest. This occasion is anticipated to further amplify the film's excitement.
