Captain America: Brave New World Post-Credit Scene Reveals Multiversal Threats Ahead
2 months ago | 5 Views
The Marvel Cinematic Universe is rolling out another so-so flick with Captain America: Brave New World, but there’s still plenty to look forward to. The future is all about mutants, the multiverse, and of course, the Fantastic Four with their upcoming movie, Fantastic Four: First Steps. But the real buzz is around the big hitters coming later—Avengers: Doomsday and Avengers: Secret Wars. What if we told you that both of these epic projects got a little nod in Brave New World, especially in the post-credits scene? Stick around, and we’ll spill all the details!.
A New Era for Captain America: Insights into Brave New World
The world has moved past the Blip and the Celestial event in the Indian Ocean, and now Thaddeus Ross (Harrison Ford) is the newly elected President of the USA. He’s looking to team up with Captain America, also known as Sam Wilson (Anthony Mackie), who’s got Joaquin Torres (Danny Ramirez) by his side as the new Falcon from The Falcon and the Winter Soldier. When an attack on the President makes Isaiah Bradley (Carl Lumbly) look like the bad guy, Captain America has to dig deep to find out who’s really behind it and rescue his friend.
In the end, what goes down?
In the epilogue, Ross finds himself locked up on The Raft, the very place where he previously held Captain America and his crew during Captain America: Civil War. He’s stepped down from his role as President to help usher in what’s being called the "Brave New World." A new treaty is formed between the U.S. and other countries to ensure Adamantium is used fairly and responsibly. Isaiah Bradley is released, Danny Ramirez’s Falcon is back and on the mend, and Liv Tyler’s character makes a short appearance to see her dad, Ross, who has transformed into a man dedicated to making things right.

At the end of the movie, Brave New World teases a bunch of future plots: there's the fight for Adamantium, Red Hulk making an appearance, Joaquin Torres possibly joining the Young Avengers, and Sam Wilson stepping up as Captain America, even without the super-serum. Plus, we’ve got an ex-widow from the Red Room—Shira Haas playing Ruth Bat-Seraph—whose future is still a mystery.
The post-credit scene featuring Samuel Sterns
As the film wraps up at The Raft, the post-credit scene picks up right there. But this time, Sam Wilson isn’t chatting with Ross; he’s having a meeting with Samuel Sterns. During their talk, Sterns grins and asks, “You wanna hear something funny?” Sam, not amused, shoots back, “I’m not really in the mood for jokes.” Sterns goes on, “We live in the same world, right? It’s coming. I’ve seen it in the probabilities—clear as day. All you heroes out there protecting this world—do you really think you’re the only ones? Do you think this is the only world that exists?”
This quick exchange teases a much bigger storyline ahead. In the MCU, the heroes’ moments of calm are frequently shattered by the threat of something even more dangerous. Sterns, who’s had his smarts boosted by Gamma radiation, seems to have figured out that a multiversal event is on the horizon.
He's definitely talking about Avengers: Doomsday and Avengers: Secret Wars. What might look like a simple post-credit scene is actually laying the groundwork for the next chapter of the MCU, where the Avengers will first take on Doctor Doom (played by Robert Downey Jr.) and then dive into the multiverse chaos of Secret Wars. With different realities colliding, Sterns' creepy hints imply that these events are coming up sooner than we think. It looks like the crazy adventure is just about to kick off, and this not-so-great film was just the first sign.
