Ananya Panday starrer Call Me Bae has been gaining love from the viewers ever since it was released. After the end of the first season, fans eagerly awaited the second season and Prime Video made it happen as they announced that the series' 2nd season is in development. 

Call Me Bae to return with season 2

On September 18, Prime Video shared a video to announce that the season season of Call Me Bae is in the development. The clip features Ananya Panday, Gurfateh Pirzada, Lisa Mishra, Vihaan Samat, Varun Sood, and Muskkaan Jaferi.

Sharing the clip, the streaming platform captioned it, "Our day couldn’t get any bae-tter

Reacting to the video announcement, one fan wrote, "can't wait." Another commented, "Double dose of Bae, double the slay" A third fan wrote, "MY FAV SHOW IS GONNA COME BACK." One of the comments alo read, "Kaafi Bae-karaar for this one...!"

Call Me Bae's plot

The plot revolves around Bae who used to live a posh life and now struggles to adjust to her new life in Mumbai, from figuring out how to get across the city on public transport to juggling the duties of a journalist, upbeat music sets the mood. Meanwhile, she also encounters unexpected friendships and alliances.

Meanwhile, Call Me Bae is currently streaming on Prime Video and it can be watched in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada in addition to its original Hindi version.

Reception of Call Me Bae

After the release of Call Me Bae, fans took to their X accounts and shared their reviews for the Ananya Panday starrer comedy-drama series.

On the professional front, Ananya was recently seen on the big screen in the movie Dream Girl 2 opposite Ayushmann Khurrana. This theatrical managed over Rs 100 crore in India. Ananya also appeared in the coming-of-age film Kho Gaye Hum Kahan alongside actors Siddhant Chaturvedi and Adarsh Gourav.
