The latest Malayalam film, CID Ramachandran Retd. SI, will be available digitally soon. The investigative thriller, starring Kalabhavan Shajohn in the lead role, will be streaming on Manorama Max from September 20

CID Ramachandran Retd. SI to stream on Manorama Max

The film, which hit the big screens in May, had a lacklustre performance in theatres. It is safe to assume that the thriller will be available online from the end of September or the first week of October as Manorama Max has officially acquired the film's digital rights. 

Recently, the popular platform started to stream the Dileep-starring film Pavi Caretaker. Other recent Malayalam films that are available on the site include Mandakini, Jananam 1947 Pranayam Thudarunnu, and Swakaryam Sambhavabahulam. Soon, Manorama Max will also have access to a Malayalam web series called Soul Stories.

In order to clear the innocent and re-establish faith in the legal system, retired cop Ramachandran looks into a case involving wrongfully accused suspects in a rural location. He discovers betrayal, falsehoods, and the truth behind a woman's death. 

Shajohn plays an intensely compelling former police officer who is determined to solve a murder case in the movie's teaser. In order to solve the murder of Anumol's character Urmila, a housewife, he sets out on a treacherous expedition. The film's gripping plot and excellent acting kept audiences on the edge of their seats even though it did not enjoy a successful run in theatres.

Anumol, Baiju Santhosh, Sudheer Karamana, Shanker Ramakrishnan, Srikant Murali and Prem Kumar are among the supporting cast of CID Ramachandran Retd. SI. Sanoop Sathyan has helmed this film, which was bankrolled by the director himself and Shiju Mispa under the banner of AD 1877 Pictures. Aneesh V Sivadas has co-written the film's screenplay.
