Buchi Babu Sana took to X (formerly Twitter) on Thursday to extend birthday wishes to Janhvi Kapoor and unveil a new poster for their forthcoming film, RC 16. In his birthday message, the director highlighted the ‘remarkable character’ she portrays in the Ram Charan project.

Birthday wishes for Janhvi Kapoor

In his birthday tribute to Janhvi Kapoor, Buchi expressed his enthusiasm for their collaboration, stating, “Wishing you a very Happy Birthday #janhvikapoor. I thoroughly enjoyed working with you, and I eagerly anticipate everyone witnessing your remarkable character on screen #RC16.” The poster he shared does not disclose Janhvi’s appearance in the film but features a candid behind-the-scenes moment. The actress is depicted smiling, dressed casually in a loose t-shirt and sweatpants, with her hair flowing freely and adorned with a bindi. She is also seen holding a goat in her arms.

Fans expressed their excitement that Buchi chose not to disclose Janhvi’s appearance in the film at this stage, considering the time remaining until its release. One fan remarked, “Atu complete look reveal cheyyakunda itu fans ni disappoint cheyyakunda.. well played Buchi garu. (Well played Buchi garu by not revealing her look completely yet not disappointing fans)” Conversely, some fans voiced their desire for the director to unveil Ram’s look from the film on his birthday, March 27.

About RC 16

Regarding RC 16, Kannada actor Shiva Rajkumar has recently completed his look test for the film, in which he plays a significant role. RC 16 was officially launched in 2024, with filming commencing in Mysuru in November of the same year. A subsequent shooting schedule was recently concluded in Hyderabad before moving to Delhi. The cast also includes Jagapathi Babu and Divyendu, with music composed by AR Rahman.

The project is being produced by Venkata Satish Kilaru under the banner of Vriddhi Cinemas, with Mythri Movie Makers and Sukumar Writings collaborating to present the film. This marks Janhvi’s second Telugu venture following her role in Koratala Siva’s Devara: Part 1, which featured Jr NTR and Saif Ali Khan and was released last year.
