Brother out on OTT:

Brother is a 2024 Tamil film, which saw the collaboration of director M Rajesh and Jayam Ravi. The film hit big screens on October 31. While we had earlier reported that ZEE5 has bagged the post-theatrical rights of the film, Brother has now made its OTT debut and is available for streaming now. Along with ZEE5, it is also available on OTTplay Premium.

Apart from Jayam Ravi, Brother also features actors Priyanka Arul Mohan, Bhumika Chawla, VTV Ganesh, Natraj Subramanian, Rao Ramesh, Achyuth Kumar, Saranya Ponvannan, Seetha, Sathish Krishnan, MS Bhaskar, Suresh Chakravarthy, Vriddhi Visha, and Master Ashwin in prominent roles.

With Screen Scene Media Entertainment Pvt Ltd backing the film, the technical crew consists of Harris Jayaraj scoring the music for the film. It is shot by cinematographer Vivekanand Santhosam and edited by Ashish Joseph.

What is Brother about?

Brother is a family drama, which revolves and focusses on the brother-sister bond. After the trouble-inviting brother is kicked out by his parents, his sister takes him under wings and invites him to stay with her and her strict in-laws. However, the brother’s straightforward and no-nonsense nature creates a rift between the sister and her family. The film opened to mixed reviews and failed to impress the audience, like earlier Rajesh’s films. Instead, many found the film outdated and lacking an element of enjoyment.

Meanwhile, Jayam Ravi has a slew of projects, which includes Kadhalikka Neramillai alongside Nithya Menen, Genie with debutant filmmaker Arjunan Jr, and JR 34 with Dada director Ganesh K Babu. The actor is also expected to be part of SK 25, playing the antagonist.
