Box Office Forecast: 'Sky Force' Anticipated to Experience Another Drop on Day 5

17 days ago | 5 Views

Sky Force Box Office Day 5 Prediction: This week, the domestic box office is dominated by the aerial drama Sky Force, featuring Akshay Kumar and Veer Pahariya, which premiered just prior to the Republic Day celebrations in the country. Released on January 24, 2025, Sky Force has enjoyed a successful opening weekend, raising hopes for a film that was anticipated to perform well. Following a robust debut, attention turned to Monday, where the film experienced its first decline in box office collections. There are indications that another decrease may occur on Day 5, Tuesday. For further details, continue reading.

Sky Force Box Office Forecast

Currently, Sky Force has emerged as a notable success for its leading actors, debuting with over ₹70 crore at the Indian box office during its opening weekend. On its first day, the film garnered ₹12.25 crore, which was slightly below the expected average for a production of this magnitude. However, Saturday witnessed an impressive 80% increase, with earnings of ₹22 crore, effectively compensating for the initial shortfall. As reported by Sacnilk, the film accumulated ₹27.50 crore on Sunday and ₹6.25 crore on Monday, bringing the cumulative total to ₹68.50 crore.

Although the decline on Monday was more pronounced than anticipated, projections indicate that Tuesday may also experience a slight drop. Reports suggest that the film could earn between ₹5–6 crore on Day 5 (the first Tuesday), edging closer to the ₹75 crore milestone. It remains uncertain whether the film will surpass these forecasts and exhibit an upward trajectory or if it will maintain figures similar to those of Monday.

Akshay Kumar’s Box Office Revival

Since the end of the pandemic, Akshay Kumar has been remarkably active, releasing more than ten films, such as Sarfira, Sooryavanshi, Khel Khel Mein, Singham Again, Bachchhan Pandey, and Bell Bottom. Nevertheless, with a few exceptions, the majority of these films did not achieve notable success at the box office. With the release of Sky Force, Akshay appears to have experienced a resurgence.

The film has achieved an impressive opening weekend of over ₹70 crore, marking it as his third-largest opener since the pandemic. The only two films that exceeded Sky Force's Day 1 earnings of ₹15.3 crore are Sooryavanshi, which earned ₹26.29 crore, and Bade Miyan Chote Miyan, which garnered ₹16.07 crore. However, while Bade Miyan Chote Miyan quickly lost traction, Sky Force continues to perform robustly at the box office.

Pre-sales for Sky Force (150K tickets) surpassed those of Akshay’s last five movies, including OMG 2 (90K), Bade Miyan Chote Miyan (65K), Khel Khel Mein (29K), Mission Raniganj (11K), and Sarfira (10K).

Sky Force was released on January 24, 2025. Stay tuned to Mobile Masala for more updates on this and everything else from the world of streaming and films.
