Box Office Blow for Sunny Deol: 'Jaat' Fails to Cross ₹100 Cr Globally

Box Office Blow for Sunny Deol: 'Jaat' Fails to Cross ₹100 Cr Globally

24 days ago | 5 Views

Sunny Deol's film Jaat is still encountering challenges at the Box Office, failing to reach the Rs. 100 crore milestone. Despite having a slight advantage over Salman Khan's Sikandar, Jaat continues to struggle commercially. Initially anticipated to outperform Sikandar, the film has turned out to be a letdown, performing even worse as it moves past its second weekend. Jaat has not managed to accumulate Rs. 100 crore globally, whereas Sikandar achieved this significant benchmark on the eighth day of its release.

Jaat vs Sikandar second weekend

Salman Khan's film Sikandar achieved the remarkable feat of entering the Rs. 100 crore club at the Box Office within just two Sundays. In contrast, Sunny Deol's Jaat, which premiered earlier, continues to face challenges in reaching this significant milestone. As reported by Sacnilk, Jaat has garnered a net total of Rs. 75 crore by its second Sunday of release and has yet to join the Rs. 100 crore club on a global scale.

Did Akshay Kumar's Kesari: Chapter 2 hamper Jaat's Box Office collection?

The immediate question arises as to whether the release of Akshay Kumar's Kesari 2 contributed to Jaat's failure to surpass the Rs. 100 crore mark at the Box Office. While this assertion has some validity, it does not capture the entire picture. Kesari 2 itself has not performed strongly during its opening weekend, earning only Rs. 29.75 crore. Consequently, it does not pose a significant threat to Jaat's Box Office performance at this stage. The real competition for Jaat comes from Sunny Deol's film Gadar 2, and Jaat has a considerable distance to cover to approach those Box Office figures.

Can Ground Zero revive Box Office numbers?

Emraan Hashmi, known for his role in Why Cheat India?, is set to return to Bollywood with the release of Ground Zero this Friday. Unlike the more extravagant productions of Sikandar or Jaat, this film does not appear to have the potential to join the Rs. 100 crore club. Nevertheless, if the narrative resonates with audiences in a manner similar to Vicky Kaushal's Chhaava, it could pave the way for a remarkable achievement. Only time will reveal the outcome.
