Jaat box office collection day 6: Gopichand Malineni's debut Bollywood film, Jaat, featuring Sunny Deol in the lead, appears to be maintaining its momentum even during the weekdays. As reported by Sacnilk, the film has surpassed the ₹50 crore mark within just a week of its release.

Jaat box office collection

The trade website indicates that Jaat generated an estimated net revenue of ₹5.32 crore in India on Tuesday, bringing its total net collection to ₹52.82 crore to date. The producers also reported a gross income of ₹58.2 crore over the first five days. The film debuted with a net collection of ₹9.5 crore on April 10, experienced a decline on Friday with ₹7 crore, but rebounded over the weekend, earning ₹9.75 crore and ₹14 crore. On Monday, Jaat experienced a 48% drop, collecting ₹7.25 crore, yet it maintained stability during the weekday. The film has surpassed ₹63 crore globally and is projected to reach the ₹100 crore milestone within a few days.

About Jaat

Jaat features Sunny Deol, Randeep Hooda, and Regena Cassandra in prominent roles, supported by Saiyami Kher, Jagapathi Babu, Ramya Krishnan, Vineet Kumar Singh, Prashant Bajaj, Zarina Wahab, P Ravi Shankar, and Babloo Prithiveeraj in significant parts. Although the film has not matched the box office success of Gopichand’s previous release, Veera Simha Reddy (which earned ₹73.8 crore in its first five days) or Sunny’s Gadar 2 (which grossed ₹228.98 crore), it has managed to maintain a steady performance since its debut. The reception has been mixed, with some viewers appreciating the exaggerated action sequences while others have expressed criticism.

In an interview with ANI, Randeep shared his thoughts on the film, stating, “In this movie, Jaat represents more than just a community, an agent, or an individual; it embodies an emotion. The Jat community is recognized for its patriotism, sense of justice, action, truthfulness, courage, compassion, anger, and love. As a Jat myself, I initially wondered why I wasn’t cast in a Jat role. However, I soon realized that Sunny Sir is portraying the Jat character, and I am pleased to contribute to this film as Rana Tunga.”
