Bougainvillea, the upcoming action-drama marks director Amal Neerad’s comeback to films after a short gap. Kunchacko Boban is appearing in the lead role in the highly anticipated film, which marks his first onscreen collaboration with the Bheeshma Parvam director. The movie, which also stars Fahadh Faasil in a pivotal role, is reportedly nearing the final stages of its post-production. As per the latest updates, Bougainvillea is gearing up to hit the theatres on October 10, 2024.

As per the latest updates, Bougainvillea is confirmed to hit the theatres on October 10, 2024, as an Ayudha Pooja special release. Even though the makers of the action-drama film have not officially announced the same yet, the recent updates suggest that the theatre charting of the film has already begun. An official release date announcement of the Kunchacko Boban starrer directed by Amal Neerad is expected to be out, along with the long-awaited Bougainvillea teaser.

Bougainvillea to clash with Vettaiyan and Kanguva

In that case, it is safe to assume that Bougainvillea might clash with Vettaiyan, the upcoming Rajinikanth starrer, and Suriya’s period fantasy thriller Kanguva, at the box office. For the uninitiated, both the TJ Gnanavel directorial and director Siva’s ambitious project are gearing up to hit the theatres across the globe on October 10, 2024. However, director Amal Neerad and his team are said to be quite confident about the box office performance of the stylized action flick, which is expected to be the only Malayalam release of the season.

As reported earlier, Kunchacko Boban appears in never-seen-before role with negative shades in the film. Fahadh Faasil is making an extended cameo appearance. Jyotirmayi, the popular actress and wife of director Amal Neerad, is making a comeback to films after a very long break, with Bougainvillea. Sharaf U Dheen, Veena Nandakumar, and Srinda essay the other pivotal roles. Amal Neerad has also co-written the film along with Lajo Jose. Sushsin Shyam has composed the songs and original score. Anend C Chandran is the director of photography. Vivek Harshan handles the editing.
