For a year, Diljit Dosanjh has been making waves all over with his charm, talent, and charisma. The Punjabi singer-actor has become the first choice for a lot of people including the Ambanis and the film industry. The actor also delivered a hit with Imtiaz Ali's Amar Singh Chamkila recently for which he was showered with a lot of praise for his performance. Now, Diljit is said to have joined hands with Sunny Deol for Border 2. 

Diljit Dosanjh comes on board for Sunny Deol's Border 2

After delivering the blockbuster sequel to his film Gadar, Sunny Deol made a dashing comeback on the big screens with Gadar 2. The actor is now preparing for the sequel of his other hit movie - Border. Recent reports now claim that Diljit Dosanjh is likely to share the screen with Deol as he will be seen portraying the role of a real-life soldier in the film. More details, however, are still under wraps. 

A source told PeepingMoon, “Diljit Dosanjh has joined Sunny Deol in Border 2. His character details are currently kept under wraps, but Dosanjh is enthusiastic about the opportunity to play a real army officer and will soon begin his preparation to fully inhabit the role.”

Ayushmann Khurrana, Ahan Shetty and Ammy Virk to be a part of Border 2?

The report further revealed that Ayushmann Khurrana is also approached to play an important role in the film. However, the actor is still in negotiations and the final approval is yet to be finalised. Other cast members that are being approached are Ammy Virk as well as Suneil Shetty's son Ahan Shetty, who made his debut in the year 2021 with Tadap. 

"Suniel Shetty’s son Ahan Shetty is rumoured to be in the cast as well, although we were unable to confirm this. Punjabi actor Ammy Virk, who was recently seen in Bad Newz, was also rumoured to join the film, but it’s unclear if he is still a part of it or Diljit Dosanjh will take on the character initially intended for him,” the report added.

Meanwhile, after multiple speculations, Sunny Deol announced Border 2 in June this year. He announced on the 27th anniversary of Border. Announcing the same, he wrote in the caption, “Ek fauji apne 27 saal purane waade ko pura karne, aa raha hai phirse. India’s biggest war film, #Border2.”
