This means that the film will now compete directly with Interstellar, directed by Christopher Nolan. The English science fiction film was re-released in India on February 7, 2025, and has already made a strong impression at the box office. Advance ticket sales also suggest a robust performance. Therefore, when Chhaava premieres next week, it will need to find its footing amidst the excitement surrounding Interstellar.

Originally released in 2014, Interstellar features a remarkable cast, including Matthew McConaughey, Anne Hathaway, Jessica Chastain, and Timothée Chalamet. Recently, Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani attracted attention with its re-release, earning ₹1.15 crore nett on its opening day. Similarly, Tumbbad, another successful re-release, achieved ₹1.50 crore on its first day. However, Interstellar has outperformed both, accumulating nearly ₹1 crore more than Tumbbad.
