At the Amazon MX Player StreamNext event in Mumbai on Thursday, Bobby Deol opened up about his role in Aashram and the show's incredible success as they revealed their lineup for 2025. He continues to portray Baba Nirala in the upcoming season 3 and shared how he landed this intriguing character.

“It’s all thanks to Prakash Ji,” Bobby mentioned, giving a nod to the show's creator, Prakash Jha. “He saw potential in me, reached out, and shared the story. Initially, I thought I’d be playing a cop who goes up against Baba. But when he told me I’d actually be playing Baba, I was completely taken aback. I couldn’t wrap my head around it—this was the role I was being offered!”

Bobby admitted that taking on the role of Baba Nirala was quite a challenge for him. “For years, I’ve been looking to push my boundaries as an actor. Prakash Ji provided me with that chance, and I’m really thankful for it.”

He talked about how the show has made a big impact, giving a lot of credit to Prakash Jha's writing and the amazing performances from the whole cast. “I believe that every character in the show, thanks to Prakash Ji's writing and the way each actor has brought them to life, has shaped the show into what it is today,” he mentioned. “The plot, the drama, everything crafted by Prakash Ji has been fantastic.”

Looking back at the positive feedback, Bobby said, “It’s really great that it’s been a couple of years now, and everywhere I go, people keep asking me, ‘When is Aashram coming back?’”

Season 3 of Aashram will be available soon on Amazon MX Player, picking up the story of Baba Nirala in an exciting new chapter.

At the event, Amazon MX Player also revealed its thrilling lineup for 2025, featuring other much-anticipated shows like Mitti Ek Nayi Pehchaan, Who’s Your Gynac Season 2, Hip Hop India, Hunter, and Jamnapaar. With such a variety of content, Amazon MX Player is gearing up to shake up the entertainment scene next year.
