Netflix, the streaming powerhouse, has revealed when fans can expect the seventh season of the hit series Black Mirror. They've also dropped a trailer and some sneak peeks of the upcoming episodes.

The new season is crafted by writer Charlie Brooker, who also serves as an executive producer alongside Jessica Rhoades and Annabel Jones. As reported by The Hollywood Reporter, Banijay Rights holds the licensing for the series.

What should we look forward to in Season 7?

The video teases that the new season will include the first sequel to "USS Callister," a fan-favorite from Black Mirror, where several cast members return to their roles from the fourth season's space saga.

Jimmi Simpson, Magnussen, Milioti, Brooks, and Ikhile are all set to reprise their characters from the Emmy-winning episode. Additionally, Jones, who previously wrote the season three episode "Nosedive," will also be back on screen.

The idea for the much-anticipated "USS Callister" sequel has been in the works for a while. During Netflix's Geeked Week event in September, Brooker mentioned, "Expect a mix of genres and styles." This season will feature two episodes that are nearly feature-length. Some will be funny, others will tug at your heartstrings, and a few might just be downright disturbing.

One of the upcoming episodes will be a sequel to the iconic Season 4 opener, "USS Callister." In this story, a video game developer constructs a virtual universe where he plays the captain of a spaceship, with his colleagues as the crew, leading to some darkly twisted sci-fi escapades, according to Netflix.
