Netflix has announced that the highly anticipated premiere of the seventh season of Black Mirror will take place on April 10. As is customary for the British television series, this season will delve into the significant impact of technology on society. A recently released trailer on March 31 provided a preview of the forthcoming stories, showcasing six episodes along with their titles, cast members, and brief insights into the plots of each episode.

Fascinating Episode Lineup and Cast Information

The season premiere, titled ‘Common People,’ features performances by Chris O'Dowd, Rashida Jones, and Tracee Ellis Ross. The episode will portray a husband who utilizes an advanced system called Rivermind to assist his ailing wife, ultimately leading to unexpected repercussions as she becomes a medium for advertisements during her in-person interactions.

Themes of Reunion and Disturbing Behavior

The second episode, ‘Bête Noire,’ stars Siena Kelly and Rosy McEwen and will illustrate a reunion between two women at their workplace. One woman notices unsettling behavior in the other, which surprisingly goes unnoticed by their coworkers.

Memory Manipulation and Hollywood Remakes

Episode three, titled ‘Eulogy,’ will showcase the powerful performances of Paul Giamatti and Patsy Ferran, delving into technology that enables individuals to revisit their photographs, which leads a solitary man to confront a deeply buried and painful past.

The fourth episode, ‘Hotel Reverie,’ features Emma Corrin, Issa Rae, Awkwafina, and Harriet Walter, where a Hollywood actor becomes engrossed in a remake of a romantic film through a technology called ‘Redream.’ Following the script is her only escape from the simulation.

In the fifth episode, ‘Plaything,’ starring Peter Capaldi and Lewis Gribben, the story revolves around an eccentric recluse obsessed with a 1990s video game, who begins to interact with the non-playable characters within the game.

The season finale, ‘USS Callister: Into Infinity,’ continues from season four and stars Cristin Milioti as she leads the crew of the USS Callister. She faces new and uncharted challenges following the departure of Robert Daly (Jesse Plemons).

All six episodes of the new season will be available for exclusive streaming on Netflix starting April 10.
