The streaming giant has announced that the show will return with a sequel. Barton expressed to Deadline, “The pressure is different now. When producing a show, there is always the desire for it to succeed to secure a second season, but now that we have been granted a return, the focus shifts to hoping it performs well enough to justify that trust.”

In an interview with Radio Times, Barton disclosed that the announcement of the show's renewal took him by surprise. He remarked, “This has never happened to me before. Most projects I am involved with tend to be cancelled almost immediately. Therefore, I was bracing myself for a rather anxious Christmas this year. While on holiday in an Italian supermarket, I received a call from the producers saying, ‘Return home, you need to start writing, we’re moving forward with more episodes.’”
