The highly anticipated sequel,Bharateeyudu 2 ( 'Indian 2,' )starring Universal Star Kamal Haasan and directed by the sensational Shankar, is set to release worldwide on July 12th in Telugu, Tamil, and Hindi languages. Produced by Lyca Productions and Subhaskaran under the banner of Red Giant, this big-budget film has generated immense buzz. The film is releasing in Telugu as Bharateeyudu 2 and in Hindi as Hindustani 2.

The Telugu theatrical rights have been acquired by Asian Suresh Entertainments LLP, while Srilakshmi Movies secured the ceeded rights. The pre-release event, held on Sunday, was a star-studded affair, where the film's cast and crew shared their excitement and insights about the project.

Kamal Haasan Emphasizes the Emotional Core of  Bharateeyudu 2 ('Indian 2')

Kamal Haasan, addressing the audience, spoke about the film's relevance to current times, emphasizing its focus on people and their struggles. He expressed gratitude towards the audience for their unwavering support throughout his career and mentioned the remarkable journey he has had in the film industry for over 52 years.

He highlighted the challenges of making a sequel after such a long gap, especially considering the increased costs involved. He praised Shankar's vision and commended the Telugu film industry's significant presence in India, reflecting its cultural importance. Kamal Haasan also mentioned his personal connection to Telugu cinema, reminiscing about films like 'Swatimuthyam' and 'Sagara Sangam,' which broke language barriers.

He revealed that the idea for the sequel came after the success of '2.O,' and he was particularly inspired by Kamal Haasan's father and brothers, drawing inspiration for Senapati's look.
