Bhairathi Ranagal, the new Kannada flick featuring the legendary Shivrajkumar, has just dropped on Prime Video. Directed by Narthan, this movie acts as a prequel to the 2017 hit Mufti.

Shiva Rajkumar's Bhairathi Ranagal is now available on Prime Video

Bhairathi Ranagal is an upcoming Kannada action thriller set to release in 2024, directed by Narthan. The film stars Shiva Rajkumar in the main role, with a talented cast that features Rahul Bose, Rukmini Vasanth, Devaraj, Chaya Singh, Madhu Guruswamy, Shabeer Kallarakkal, and Babu Hirannaiah.

The film has just hit Prime Video after its time in theaters. If you didn’t catch it on the big screen, you can stream it now. This one serves as a prequel to the 2017 movie Mufti, which marked Narthan's directorial debut.

Bhairathi Ranagal dives into the backstory of the main character, played by Shiva Rajkumar, showcasing his transformation from a dedicated lawyer to a kind-hearted crime lord in Karnataka. The prequel received a mix of reviews when it came out. According to OTTplay, “Director Narthan's prequel is strictly for those who loved Mufti's Bhairathi Ranagal and want more of that. It's not a compelling watch!”

What is Shiva Rajkumar’s next?

Shiva Rajkumar is currently receiving medical care after being diagnosed with an undisclosed illness. He’s been traveling to the US for additional surgeries and treatments, and it’s also been reported that he has undergone chemotherapy.

There were rumors about him joining the cast of the upcoming Tamil film Thalapathy 69, which stars Vijay, but it seems that the Kannada actor won’t be involved in that project after all.
