Berlin is one of the most awaited movies of 2024. The film already premiered at several festivals including the Jio MAMI Mumbai Film Festival in 2023, Berlin is aiming for an OTT premiere skipping theatrical release. Ahead of the release, the makers shared a new promo featuring Ishwak Singh, one of the leading actors in the movie building anticipation. 

Berlin new promo featuring Ishwak Singh

Taking to their official Instagram account on September 6, ZEE5 shared a new promo featuring Ishwak Singh. He will be seen playing the role of Ashok, a deaf and mute person. 

In the clip, we can see Ashok getting interrogated regarding the missing girl, played by Anupriya Goenka. He was asked where she was and in response, he was answering in sign language as he was a deaf and mute person. But the promo builds anticipation by raising a question 'Who is Ashok? Where did he come from?' Is he an innocent person or a spy? This will be revealed once the movie is released.

Berlin new poster

Taking to the official Instagram handle on September 5, ZEE5 dropped a new poster of Berlin featuring Aparshakti Khurana. In the poster, he is looking promising as Pushkin Verma. The Stree 2 actor will be seen playing the role of a sign language expert who is set to interpret a suspect’s story.

Sharing the poster, they captioned it, "Pushkin Verma—a sign language expert chosen to interpret a suspect’s story. How will his life change when he becomes too involved in decoding the Russian president’s assassination plan? (shocking emoji)"

Berlin will be released on ZEE5 (OTTPlay Premium) on September 13. 

Ishwak Singh talks about his character

In an interview with PTI, Ishwak talked about his character in Berlin. He said that it was tough for him to play this part. Ishwak further added that the structure of sign language is different from the spoken language so it was a big challenge.

Aparshakti Khurana on Berlin

In an earlier interview with PTI, Khurana opened up about Berlin and said, "It was a very alien world, but it was so beautiful. There's so much to be communicated through the eyes and in sign language, it becomes even more important. The beauty of this language is that it has a more organic approach towards life."
