Berlin, the espionage thriller is releasing on ZEE5 (OTTPlay Premium) on September 13, 2024. After premiering at various film festivals, the movie is aiming for a direct OTT release. Starring Aparshakti Khurana, Rahul Bose, and Ishwak Singh, Berlin has been gaining attention since the release of the trailer, and several new clips featuring the lead actors. Today, September 12, the streaming platform shared a new promo ahead of the release. 

Aparshakti Khurana says what is Berlin all about

A while ago, ZEE5 shared a new promo of Berlin. In the clip, we can see Aparshakti Khurana saying what is Berlin all about. The actor will be seen playing the role of Pushkin. In the clip, he can be heards saying, "Berlin is a story of an ordinary sign-language teacher Pushkin who needs to interrogate a deaf and a mute spy." But is he workign for the Government or has he changed sides? 

The secrets will be disclosed once the movie releases. Check out the new promo below: 

Sharing the promo, the streaming platform captioned it, "When secrets are revealed and the mystery deepens, will Pushkin side with the government or the suspect? #Berlin premieres 13th September, only on #ZEE5."

The trailer shows the tense world of espionage. We see a deaf-mute young man (Ishwak Singh) arrested on suspicion of being a foreign spy. On the other hand, a skilled sign language expert (Aparshakti Khurana) is brought in to interpret. However, he finds himself entangled in a web of deception. Meanwhile, Rahul Bose is seen as an intelligence officer who is more than what meets the eye.

In a statement, Aparshakti Khurana shared his shooting experience for Berlin and called it a departure from his typical roles. He said that it is a "mind-bending puzzle" that will keep viewers guessing. 

Ishwak highlighted the unique challenges of playing a character reliant on sign language. On the other hand, Rahul stressed the film's ability to challenge viewers' perspectives on storytelling.

Speaking to PTI earlier, Khurana opened up about his character. He said, "It was a very alien world, but it was so beautiful. There's so much to be communicated through the eyes and in sign language, it becomes even more important. The beauty of this language is that it has a more organic approach towards life."

Meanwhile, The spy thriller film written and directed by Atul Sabharwal, produced by Zee Studios and Yippie Ki Yay Motion Pictures is set to be released on ZEE5 (OTTPlay Premium) on September 13.
